Addus is a charitable organization that enables people with developmental disabilities to actively participate in their community.
A developmental disability (DD) can be described as genetic or chromosomal disorder i.e. Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder or Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Such conditions can range from mild, to moderate to severe and are most often present during prenatal development.
When people with developmental disabilities are included in their own communities, everyone benefits: they feel self-sufficient, their families are relieved and the community itself gains an active participant.
